When Is Fathers Day? Father's Day in the United States is annually held on the third Sunday of June. Father's Day in 2018 is on Sunday, the 19th of June. It celebrates fatherhood and it is a time to appreciate fathers and father figures. Many people give gifts, cards, flowers, candy, a meal in a restaurant or other treats to their father and father figures, including grandfathers, great-grandfathers, stepfathers, and foster fathers.
Many people send cards or gifts to their father or father figure or make a special effort to visit her. Common Mother's Day gifts are flowers, chocolate, candy, clothing and treats, such as a sport tickets or trip to a spa.
